Want to know what traffic the search engines send you, what search terms were used to find your site, do most visitors come to the home page what other external pages sent you visitors and what are your most popular pages?

Site statistic reports from your sites web logs can tell you a great deal about how your web site is performing.

A bi-yearly summary analysis is available free for sites hosted by Bristol PC. A summary of just some of that information follows.

Referrers

Search engine referrers: a graphic and a text summary of the search engines who send visitors to your site with the actual search terms used.

Other referrers: a graphic and a text summary of other pages sending visitors to your site.

Usage

Number of visitors, most visited pages, band width usage, and more ... Again in text and graphic versions.

Note that visitors rather than web site 'hits' are shown above. Every file read from your web site generates a 'hit', modern web pages make multiple hits for every page view. This site in recent months is typically 9 or 10 hits per visitor for example.
