Extra English

Extra English offers out of school hours English lessons for 6 to 16 year olds in Bristol. Extra English is run by an experienced teacher from home in Totterdown and has been running since 1997.

The web site name: www.bristolenglishtutor.co.uk was chosen, rather than use the trading name of Extra English. This helps specify Bristol as the relevant location for the site and English tutor/tuition as the main 'key words' for potential searcher engine visitors.

Deal or no Deal Simulation

Purely for fun and to keep my hand in with moderately complex dynamic html. This interactive simulation shows the deal or no deal average box by box.

Okay I was curious too, how did the bankers offer compare against the deal or no deal board average?

Shaun Steer

Shaun Steer is a very talented young singer and actor based in Bristol. If you think thats exaggeration just listen to Shaun Steer's mp3 clips and judge for yourself.

A popular design choice a fixed width design centred to display in the middle of the screen area. Fitting on screens of 800 pixels (dots) wide or larger without left right scroll bars.

Suitable for visitors using both the more modest and older 800x600 pixel resolution monitors and the larger high resolution monitors on modern PC's.

Page headings using Broadway BT font on computers running Windows XP or later but reverting to more standard fonts if that font is not available.

Ashton Court Estate

A promotional web site for Bristol PC Web Design services. Here showing the popular Ashton Court Estate Mansion page.

Designed for more modern 1024 pixel or wider monitors, the design makes full use of the wide screen for large banner photos at the top of the page.

Visitors with older monitors (usually 14" monitors with a 800 pixel wide maximum resolution) are not forgotten with narrow screen alternatives. These narrow screen versions have less images and smaller banner photos with more compression, so they are more suitable for visitors without broadband too.
